GENERAL SUMMARY


Recruiter responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, screening, interviewing and recommending prospective employees for employment in entry to mid-level, administrative, executive, creative and/or senior management positions.  The recruiter acts as a business partner with all hiring managers to better understand what skills and level of experience the department seeks in candidates to strengthen/enhance their team.  They will ensure compliance with all state and federal labor and employment law regulations. Coordinate and participate in job fairs, and recruitment training seminars.  Recruiter will also model an educational approach that enables line managers to improve their leadership and management skills. Serves as consultant to all levels of management in dealing with candidate recruitment and extending offer letters to new hires. Proactively interfaces with department heads, and develops and maintains relationships with professional organizations.

 

­­­  Day to Day:

 

Ensures all employment request forms are submitted for all open positions, sources and pre-screens resumes and candidates who are “strong ideas people” to fill open positions for exempt and non exempt positions; schedules interviews, refers qualified candidates to hiring managers, manages reference checks and creates new hire offer letters.  Additionally, work with manager(s) to fill open positions externally along with internal transfers and promotions.

 

Prepares new hire packets, sends out Comings emails and submits IMAC requests for all new hires.

 

Be aware of, support and adhere to all Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and Team One policies, procedures and guidelines.

 

Creates & maintains pool of qualified candidates for all level positions. Sets-up, maintains & manages resume database, Vurv.

 

Maintains & updates all job descriptions.

 

Creates & maintains job postings on job boards such as monster.com and careerbuilder.com.

 

Minimize response and turnaround time with filling open positions. 

 

Creates & maintains candidate profile target sheet for candidate research, reliable and valid interview questions, and supplemental interview questionnaire.

Acts as consultant on appropriate and legal course of action during the selection process.  Ensures internal staff is considered for promotions and transfers when appropriate; composes promotion & transfer letters.

 

Partners with Associate Director HI on HR & business-related issues regarding strategic and operational levels related to staffing and/or other HR related initiatives.

 

Works with advertising vendors to develop and send qualifications for job postings to appropriate vendors.

 

Create community awareness by attending career/job fairs in addition to creating and maintaining relationships with colleges/universities.

 

Responsible for managing the guidelines of the Employee Referral program from a recruitment and hiring manager point of view.  Responsible for ensuring timely pay out of referral fees.

 

Maintains and updates Recruitment Log.

 

Other assignments as requested

 

 

Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of recruiting experience required.  Emphasis in recruiting for a creative environment required. Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws. Experience in fast-paced environment.  Knowledge of payroll and benefits; demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.  Must have solid understanding of HR processes & HR-related regulations.  Must have familiarity with HRIS, e.g. PeopleSoft, etc.

 

Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

 

Skills and Abilities:  Demonstrated strong familiarity with recruitment concepts, practices and procedures. Demonstrated strong communication (oral, written & negotiation) and interpersonal skills; must have ability to interface with all levels of employees including management; must be proactive, have initiative and be a self-starter.  Must have excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities, and pay close attention to detail; and have the ability to adapt to a changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness.  Must demonstrate a sense of urgency; be proficient using MS Word, Excel, & PPT; demonstrated ability to handle high level confidential data, and maintain accurate and current status regarding open positions.  

 

 

Working Conditions:  Team One is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment.  All employees are expected to support Team One’s commitment to providing a respectful & safe workplace.  There may be times when lifting up to 25lbs. is required.  Overtime, including evenings and/ or weekend work- may be required.  There may be occasion to travel.  All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and acceptable manner during working hours and all work-related events, including but not limited to, holiday parties, off-sites, client meetings/events, shoot locations, etc.
