Junior Experience Designers work closely with the Senior Experience Designer and report to the Director of Experience Design within the Creative Department.  At Team One experience design does not end with the screen. As an integrated agency, we work across all business channels for clients like Lexus, allowing us to produce holistic and integrated campaigns, of which your work will be a part.

You will play a supporting role in developing and enhancing the look and feel of digital experiences for high profile clients. You will be counted on to contribute - alongside the Senior Experience Designer - to brainstorming and sketching sessions, wireframes, low and high-fidelity prototypes, flows and diagrams.

A successful candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating clean visuals and user-friendly interface design, a strong understanding of usability principles, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, wireframing tools such as OmniGraffle and Axure and an understanding of front-end coding languages. You should understand the basics of social media engagement. Experience with adaptive and responsive design and a mobile first philosophy is a plus, as is experience in a both agile and waterfall development environments.


­­Day to Day:

  • Contribute to user research/usability activities, including surveys, contextual interviews, user persona development and usability studies
  • Develop wireframes, diagrams and mock-ups to effectively communicate content, interaction and design concepts
  • Work closely with clients and internal team to translate client objectives into meaningful interactive experiences
  • Advocate for the best user experience throughout the creative and development process.
  • Create interaction design for web-based applications 
  • Create low fidelity visual design for web-based applications, based upon interaction design specs. 
  • Create thorough, detailed documentation for developers and visual designs
  • Conceptualize, communicate, and iterate creative solutions to design challenges using lo-fi and hi-fi mockups. 
  • Advise on social engagement strategy related to the products you are designing. 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to concept and design complex user/process flow diagrams, sketches, heuristics, wireframes, click-through demos, prototypes, site maps, interaction design, information architecture or other supporting user experience documents
  • Experienced in storyboarding and user persona development
  • Skilled with expected wireframing/architecture tools such as Illustrator, Visio, Omnigraffle, InDesign, etc.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite as a whole, particularly InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript
  • Some agency or design shop experience
