The Account Executive will work on the Lexus National Relationship Marketing team. They will be supporting the Account Supervisor, Account Director and senior team members in day-to-day client business management. This role will lead multiple programs (including email and direct mail), present program recommendations to client, provide internal communications, and other assistance as needed


Client Management + Account Leadership:

  • Understand clients’ business and products.
  • Maintain strong and professional relationships with Lexus clients, acting as a client advocate and liaison.
  • Is a self-starter and takes initiative for tasks that may not seem like an assignment to own.
  • Manage multiple ongoing and ad-hoc campaigns, when necessary.
  • Oversees presentation of creative work to client.
  • Interpret client's needs to the group and manage execution of these needs. Should be able to initiate and define RM projects internally.
  • Works with client to define objectives and parameters of new RM projects.
  • Oversees and support AAE with tasks and projects.

Project Management:

  • Oversees CRM budget.
  • Ensures projects stay on strategic track, and the client is informed as needed, for status or issue resolution.
  • Work with Production team to ensure projects are staying on track. Assists with updating email campaign deployment documents.
  • Work with Strategy to understand 3rd-party vendors and acquisition list selection, and then is able to to explain/answer basic list selection questions client may present.
  • Keeps client informed of progress, and forwards any issues that must be solved by client. Must be able to maintain proactive and responsive client communications.
  • Collaborate and work closely with multiple internal teams: strategy, creative development, project management and production teams.
  • Collaborates internally to ensure work in progress is strategically and tactically correct.
  • Frequently communicates project updates to the client and keeps internal teams informed across the agency.
  • Writes project briefs.
  • Attends production status meetings and has the experience to lead client status meetings.
  • Works with all departments in the agency and must respect process and integration.
  • Monitors other activities in agency that affect the projects he/she is handling.
  • -Writes conference reports immediately following client or key internal meetings and shares with larger team.
  • Communicates schedules and obtain the required approvals from client, per project schedule.
  • Consults with PM and internal team before making timing commitments to client.
  • Communicates client codes and special budget requirements to PM.
  • Manages and supports client billing and budget forecasting needs.
  • Supports opening and managing non-production estimates, as needed.

EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years advertising Account Management experience. Some RM experience is required. Automotive experience is preferred, but not required.

EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree required (business, marketing, or advertising preferred).


  • Familiarity with email marketing best practices (ie: CAN-SPAM, and opt-in permissions) is a plus, as well as experience working with Sales Force Marketing Cloud or other equivalent ESP
  • Knowledge of working on targeted emails with multiple versions and list sources
  • Experience (or understanding) of working on cross-channel programs (web/social/email)
  • Presentation development experience is a plus
  • Solid project management capabilities and presentation skills
  • Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Works well with team members to create the best possible work for our clients
  • Team oriented and willingness to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
