The Product Insights Management Supervisor collaborates with the Product Insights Director to provide LA-based leadership for the Product Insights team.

The Management Supervisor will have clear, “day to day” visibility to how the department is functioning, and daily department needs & challenges. The Management Supervisor will provide the Director with proactive alerting to issues affecting the department, as well as reliable, higher-level sightlines to department efficiency & effectiveness, plus assist the Director in identifying opportunities to enhance our level of service to the business.

The Management Supervisor will collaborate with the Director to create, oversee, implement and support department initiatives with the LA team, as well as provide real-time feedback on the effectiveness of these initiatives.

The Management Supervisor will provide a clear point of escalation and higher-level collaboration for other LA-based agency leaders.

The Management Supervisor also gathers, processes, and distributes detailed vehicle information for all Lexus vehicles. This information supports the success of projects across Broadcast, Interactive and Print mediums. The Management Supervisor is responsible for product reviews and accuracy for owned carlines. The Management Supervisor also collaborates with the Director to help manage resources and workload, and helps provide direct supervision to two Product Insights Managers in the LA office.


Day to Day:

On a project by project basis the Product Insights Senior Manager:

  • Supports the Director of Product Insights to help manage the workload and resources within the department
  • Provides sightlines to the Director to identify department functionality, needs & challenges, and collaborates with the Director to address & implement solutions. The Management Supervisor also provides feedback on the effectiveness of these solutions.
  • Provides leadership and supervises (2) Product Insights Managers as direct reports
  • Is the primary point of escalation and higher-level collaboration in the LA office
  • Collaborates with the Director to identify opportunities to enhance the department’s level of service
  • Collaborates with Account and Production to gather information for projects
  • Maintains files and records of Lexus and competitive products
  • Collaborates with Producers, Account Managers, Strategists and Creative teams to ensure product accuracy
  • Maintains existing, extensive photo-reference database
  • Pro-actively researches Lexus superiorities/claims versus competitive vehicles
  • Stays current on the competitive landscape, and looks for opportunities 
  • Collaborates in the creation, and multiple reviewing, of all print, photo and video assets for product accuracy


4+ years of prior experience in Product Insights/Product Information is required, plus experience in a leadership/management capacity. It is vital that this person is an effective leader, collaborator, and is capable of making technical information readily understandable to non-technical people.


Preferably has a 4-year degree (Bachelor’s degree) from an accredited university or college. Degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or equivalent is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style. A passion for the automobiles and the ability to learn how vehicles – and their subsystems – work, an ability to convey this information to others, as well as the ability to collaborate with various agency and client stakeholders, are the primary requirements. Maintaining product accuracy under challenging deadlines is also a requirement.
