GENERAL SUMMARY


The Media Planner works in conjunction with the Media Supervisor & AMD and manages certain processes within all Media, with a heavy focus on Broadcast, OOH, and Broadcast extensions.

 

Day to Day:

  • Responsible for planning (i.e. research, presentations, etc.) Utilizes applicable media research tools including Nielsen, ComScore, etc. Develops, negotiates and created cost efficient media plans with partners.
  • Responsible for ongoing management of media campaigns including analyzing, negotiating and recommended plan optimization to the client.
  • Communicate with buying agency, Zenith, on a daily basis to insure proper broadcast allocations & on air integrations, and to manage platform
  • Maintain the monthly National Fiscal Budget Report, working with the client and internal media team to updating funding sources and troubleshoot discrepancies
  • Works with AMP, traffic coordinator, account, and production to ensure all media and creative campaign elements are delivered by the deadline.
  • Implements client approved media and creative elements in conjunction with AMP, traffic coordinator, and third party server.
  • Attend industry rep meetings and provides written Points of Views to client when appropriate.
  • Provides client campaign data to ensure performance and deliverables.
  • Organizes/analyzes third party ad server data and presents to client.
  • Assist in planning of the broadcast upfront and specific initiative and specific initiative recommendations.
  • Assist with competitive analysis and media landscape analysis.

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of Media Planning experience.

Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Skills and Abilities: This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style.
