Assist in the development, day to day maintenance, and accurate revisions of Broadcast and OOH media plans for Lexus. This requires strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail/accuracy due to depth and breadth of client’s media commitments. The person in this role must effectively communicate the status of projects to Media Planner (MP)/ Media Supervisor (MS).


Day to Day:

  • Assists with annual planning of Upfront Broadcast Recommendation (Network/Cable/Sports, Spot TV, Competitive Landscape, and Out-of-Home Recommendation (launches).
  • Handles implementation and stewardship of Annual Upfront Recommendation for Broadcast and Out-of-Home.  Coordinates client schedules with Zenith buyers, Account/Traffic counterparts, and OX Media Ocean reports.
  • Confirms accurate accounting of approved budgets by daypart/package through Donovan reports and coordination with Zenith buyers.
  • Assists with broadcast budget reconciliation for quarterly issue of Ad Plan.
  • Assists with reviewing Zenith’s quarterly Post Analysis for accuracy and compliance to buying guidelines.  Ensures proper documentation is received quarterly for Zenith’s negotiation of make goods for missed spots and compensatory weight for under-delivery.  Ensures written documentation is obtained for compliance to buying guidelines.
  • Manages and provides summary report to client.  Coordinates with Team One (Print, Interactive, LDA, CPO) and Zenith media counterparts on outstanding projects.
  • Generates ideas to support an agency and client objectives.
  • Gathers research for analysis of the Media and Sports landscape, competitive spending, PNVR, program ratings, VPVH, syndicated research, RL Polk, Zenith Zoom tools, BDI/CDI, daypart mix, R/Fs, etc.
  • Issues Broadcast and Outdoor media authorization to client.  Obtains signed authorization prior to securing media.
  • Implements approved broadcast and sports allocations prior to flight date.
  • Compares estimates to approve budget line items (broadcast, outdoor) and brings any inconsistencies to the attention of the Planner/Supervisor. Revises master and model flowcharts.  Issues monthly flowchart for Monthly Media Highlights recap.
  • Reviews OOH locations to ensure adherence to buying guidelines.  Coordinates posting and material due dates with Account Group, Traffic.  Reviews post s for compliance of locations purchased. Issues monthly maintenance report recap to client.
  • Assists with tickets/merchandise request and monthly ticket request summary.

Skills and Abilities:  Must have strong organizational skills and possess an aptitude for accuracy and details. Computer literacy is mandatory (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Able to multi-task projects and prioritize urgent projects to meet deadlines (internal and client deadlines).  Requires strong communication skills to work effectively with MP and department counterparts. Must be a self-starter, possess a positive attitude, and contribute toward building a cohesive team.
