Opportunity to work in an award-winning integrated marketing communications agency—working in concert with counterparts in other agency departments (event marketing, interactive, advertising, media, direct marketing, etc.) to provide fully integrated marketing communications for national luxury automotive account.

Junior- to mid-level, growth-oriented position.  Responsible for program development, execution, building and maintaining media lists, writing and researching for press materials; media relations; management of press clips and client reports, etc.  Ability to assist in identifying media opportunities, develop and pitch story ideas.  Must be a team player, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Exceptional writing skills a must.

Focus is on affluent lifestyle and brand efforts; automotive experience not required.  3 years minimum PR experience required.  Consumer/lifestyle experience required.  Exceptional writing skills a must. 

Flexibility to travel as necessary, particularly for press events and PR support for event marketing initiatives.


Day to Day:

  • Assists PR campaign implementation as directed.
  • Close collaboration with other agency disciplines, as directed, (event marketing, media, creative, advertising account management, direct marketing, etc.) to provide fully integrated marketing communications.
  • Researches, builds and maintains media lists.
  • Client management and communications.
  • Participates in identifying, developing and pitching media stories; including PR support for select events/sponsorships.
  • Write, research and proof information for press materials – press releases, alerts, photo captions, backgrounders, interview preps, key messages, Q&As, coverage memos, correspondence etc.  
  • Media relations; including keeping up-to-date and knowledgeable about appropriate publications/media.
  • Assist in development and implementation of social media and online communications campaigns.
  • Track and report media outreach and hits.
  • Budget tracking.
  • Compiling status and wrap-up reports.
  • Manage purchase orders, work orders and estimates.
  • Build press kits and maintain press kit materials.
  • Assists with maintenance of Team One Hit List and client press kits.
  • Assists with agency corporate PR efforts as directed.
  • Continually builds understanding and knowledge of clients’ business and competitive environments.
  • Keeps up-to-date on the state of the art in public relations and the communications/marketing field.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Tracks and manages media coverage for results and ROI reporting (clipping services, clip analysis, etc.).
  • Researches and builds media lists.


Experience:  3 years minimum experience in public relations; knowledge of and experience with social media tactics a must.  PR agency experience a plus.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree; Study focus in Public Relations, Journalism, English or Communications-related field preferred; study focus in other areas also acceptable if the candidate has applicable work experience.

Skills and Abilities:  Exceptional writing skills a must. Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Must have the ability to exercise good judgment; think and act strategically. Should be detail-oriented and have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously on a strategic level. Have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, be proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint and have an intuitive understanding of excellent client service.
