The LDA Assistant Media Planner’s primary responsibility is to work directly with a media planner on LDA Regional markets. The AMP will learn all aspects of the media marketplace including spot TV/Cable, spot radio, newspaper, local magazine, out-of-home, local digital and some exposure to sponsorships/event marketing.  The AMP will also gain a broad base knowledge of media terminology, media options and basic media planning. 


Day to Day:

  • Goal Entry / SBA issuance to Zenith.                    
  • Update and maintain flowcharts/budgets.
  • Budget/Billing reconciliation
  • Financial Discrepancies 
  • Assist team with Heavy Up/Cut Recommendations, ultimately doing them by themselves.      
  • Create insertion orders (Digital and Print). 
  • Assist with POVs, ultimately doing them by themselves.                          
  • Media/Market Research (Examples: Simmons, IMS, comScore,
  • Establish strong working relationship with our broadcast buyers at Zenith & Field Account team.
  • Assist with Digital buys and metrics reports.
  • Assist on market plans, ultimately managing some markets themselves.
  • Support and generate ideas to support an “Ideas Culture” agency.


  • Prior media internship experience is a plus.
  • Computer literate, with some experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • A solid understanding of basic math, especially algebra, would be ideal. 
  • Experience in proper business communications a plus. 
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player that likes working in a large groups.

Education:  A Bachelor’s degree.  

Skills and Abilities: This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style.
