GENERAL SUMMARY

Digital Strategists report to the Content Strategy Lead and are responsible for owning and leading small and medium-sized strategic campaign and owned property initiatives with guidance and mentorship from senior team members. They are expected to proactively contribute to the evolving strategic discipline within the agency with new ideas, cultural observations and compelling insights.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social: Help Senior Digital Strategists define the overall social strategy and approach for clients’ social channels, specifically across different activation types (paid / organic, customer support, shopping, etc.), and manage the implementation of those activation types. Help define overall social program challenges, opportunities and objectives.

Brand & Campaigns: Support brand and product campaign strategy development for our clients. Provide data, research and observations that shape effective, creative strategies rooted in powerful insights. Write and contribute to digital creative briefing materials, define key digital channel roles, objectives and KPIs.

Owned Properties: Develop strategies for small and medium-sized projects on client owned properties, with guidance from senior team members. Collaborate with different agency disciplines, including web analysts, UX, media and creative. Create clear, effective, unique and brand-specific approaches to our clients’ owned digital properties, including content strategies and UX direction.

Communication: Support senior Team One team members with data, research and cultural observations to ensure that strategy is taken into account throughout creative ideation, development and production. Identify and proactively bring roadblocks and issues to senior team members.

 

Day to Day

  • Have a developed and well-rounded planning and digital strategy tool kit.
  • Own and lead small and medium-sized projects on the business they work on.
  • Organize, facilitation and analyze research (Surveys, Focus groups, Stakeholder interviews, etc.), including ad hoc research, qualitative and quantitative, as required.
  • Attend and contribute to other strategy team work streams, including research design, focus groups, product clinics, surveys, brand tracking, etc
  • Medium ability to develop insights and stories from qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Be able to craft, with assistance and mentorship, compelling, specific and behaviorally-focused creative briefs and accurate measurement strategies.
  • Develop, with assistance and mentorship, cohesive owned property strategies and product roadmaps (creative as well as assignment briefs).
  • Develop, with assistance and mentorship, owned property content strategies.
  • Develop, with guidance and available tools, a strategic understanding of SEO, the role it plays on client properties, and how to implement successful strategies that drive business results.
  • Inspire creative team members and clients
  • Compile and present digital campaign performance reports and learnings documents.
  • Be a good presenter on one's feet and on paper
  • Create solid working partnerships with Planning, Creative, Account, Analytics and other team members
  • Contribute to and compile reports on client collaboration sessions
  • Be a curator of cultural trends and learning

EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years of Digital Strategy, Planning, UX or related advertising experience

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • Be a good presenter on one’s feet and on paper, capable of inspiring creative team members and clients.
  • Charismatic and confident creative thinker
  • Capable of effectively and proactively collaborating with variety of agency and client stakeholders on a daily basis.

EDUCATION: Degree from an accredited university or college is strongly preferred.
