GENERAL SUMMARY

The Group Director of Project Management & Workflow is responsible for leading the operations teams within Project Management and Workflow. The leader in this role is expected to build, supervise and constantly improve processes for operational effectiveness in the management of projects.

 

This position directly supervises the leaders in Project Management and Digital Asset Management, allowing subject matter experts in Production, Creative and Account to focus on delivery of innovation execution. This person  reports into the Executive Director, Production.

1. Leadership and management of the project management team

  • Project advocacy and workflow advancement
  • Running and advancing the PM team (including evaluating and stabilizing) - provide training and mentoring opportunities for staff and participate in performance evaluations
  • Solution oriented

2. Deep project management knowledge

  • Integrated - advanced knowledge of digital
  • Responsible and  accountable, while building partnernships with internal teams
  • Focus on making projects are on time, in scope, within estimate, and not violating any contracts or laws
  • Support and generate ideas to support an “Ideas Culture” agency.
  • Oversees major contracts to ensure proper accountability, effectiveness and efficiency for LDA digital programs.
  • Participates in integration with Lexus Factory, CPO, Event Marketing, Account Group and Saatchi/TDAs to ensure synergy on assigned accounts.
  • Manages special projects as assigned.

Experience:  

  • 10+ years project management experience required with 5+ years’ experience in supervising others. 
  • Must have a thorough understanding and experience working in Digital.
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple mediums, big picture overview and agency best practices are essential.
  • Project Management is considered critical. 
  • Additional training, education, or experience in the topics of managing in a creative working environment and business management, leadership, and agency operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of large agency operations is beneficial.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:  

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint. Prior experience working with DAM tool is a plus!
  • Must possess advanced organizational and communication skills, as well as an aptitude for accuracy and details.   
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills required. 
  • Proven ability to handle multiple requests and deliverables simultaneously.
  • This person should be an expert in written and verbal communication, be team-oriented, and be a creative problem solver.
  • Ensure and help foster a positive group culture, and be able to work directly with team members to ensure that the overall goals of the company are understood.
  • Must display calm presence and be flexible.
  • Must possess an outgoing personality and be willing to contribute new ideas and help build a cohesive team.
