GENERAL SUMMARY

The Broadcast Media Supervisor works in conjunction with the Associate Media Director and supervises the planning team in development of strategic media recommendations. Works hand-in-hand with the Account Group, Strategic Planning and Creative department heads to ensure integration of Lexus objective, strategies and advertising output. Responsible for on-going client relationship building, strategic media planning, inspiring innovative ideas and mentoring Media’s junior staff members.

 

­­­DAY TO DAY:

  • Responsible for creative thinking and strategic planning/development for model lines and overall brand.
  • Ensures timely issuance of stewardship reports and on-going communication with Zenith to meet deadlines 
  • Issues budget and allocation reports on a quarterly basis and ensure accurate accounting of approved budgets by daypart/package through confirmation of OX reports, client billing, and coordination with Zenith buyers. 
  • Coordinates budget information, project timing and deliverables with planning teams.
  • Ensures proper handling of the Lexus Factory account and proper implementation and accuracy of client approved buys through review buying guidelines, Donovan schedule reports and monthly allocation memos.
  • Delegates and follows-up on projects with client and support staff.  Handles integration with agency counterparts and communication with upper management on issues/project deadlines.
  • Builds strong relationships with media vendors/rep community.
  • Works closely with other department heads to maintain integration among all disciplines such as Print Maintenance Group, Interactive, LDA, CPO, Event Marketing, Account Group and SSLA.
  • Handles special projects as assigned by the Associate Media Director/Media Director that include but are not limited to NAAB, Ad Tracker, POVs, Executive Summaries (Media Highlights) and Media Goal Recap.
  • Manages, leads and trains media planners
  • Generates ideas to support agency and client objectives.

EXPERIENCE:   

Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Media Planning or other similar function. Extensive experience in Broadcast Media is key.

EDUCTION:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Strong organizational skills and communication skills as well as an aptitude for accuracy and details.  Must possess an outgoing personality and be willing to contribute new ideas to the team.  Must have the ability to manage the scope of projects and set realistic time lines.  Must maintain a balanced perspective of the workload to accommodate client needs while maintaining positive morale within the group.  Must provide mentorship to all levels within the team and look for opportunities to gain visibility for the team within the agency. Must be a positive leader and build a cohesive team.
